Logan Brown, the eldest child of Sister Wives' Kody and Janelle, will be hearing wedding bells soon!
The star revealed to that he recently proposed his longtime girlfriend, Michelle Petty.
Brown and Petty have officially been dating for three years, but their friendship started five years ago, after they met during their undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Petty recently shared a photo of the couple from three-and-a-half years ago, at her Alpha Delta Pi formal event, she said she "started to slowly fall in love" with Brown.
While the lovebirds' engagement photos are picture perfect, the proposal wasn't exactly smooth sailing, according to Brown.
"We were on Congress Bridge in Austin, Texas, enjoying the city," Brown told . "We had just finished seeing a favorite band of ours. Unfortunately, nothing in my elaborate plan had successfully gone through. So in desperation, I found the prettiest view of the Colorado river, Congress Bridge. We walked out to the middle of the bridge, and then I popped the question!"
The pair has received an overwhelming amount of love and support from friends and family (Brown's father, Kody, has 18 children total with his four wives). His parents expressed how happy they were about the news, telling People in a joint statement: "We have become quite attached to Michelle, and we are so thrilled that they have taken this next step. We wish them so much joy and look forward to what comes next."
But the newly engaged couple isn't rushing down the aisle just yet. Petty wrote on Instagram: "We plan to have a long engagement (to save for a wedding, finish our master's degrees and truly enjoy this phase in our relationship) and are excited to continue this beautiful life we have created."
But if you're hoping to watch the wedding day festivities on a special episode of Sister Wives, Petty says it won't be happening, writing in a comment on her latest Instagram post: "Our wedding will be private but we will definitely post some pictures when the time comes."
Congrats to the happy couple!
