As the Knights drove home on the barren Oregon highway, they discovered an overturned car from an earlier accident. The team attributes their heroism to Jackson's training.
"He taught us to play selfless football, not selfish and just help others out before yourself," player Regan Magil explained to "Good Morning America."
But Coach Jackson was quick to give the credit to his team, whom he calls "a great bunch of kids."
He told the Statesman, "I'm more than proud. I'm at a loss for words."
