Two teen drivers in Nebraska collided at a dangerous intersection causing one car to split in two pieces.Douglas County sheriff's deputies said Marcus Case, 17, was driving south across Center Street on 222nd/Skyline Drive when a car driven by John Khury, 18, broadsided him.The impact severed the car."The pictures are very dramatic," Captain Wayne Hudson said. "If someone was in the back seat, they're looking at serious injury or a major fatality."Yayle Roncka heard the collision from his home."I heard a loud noise and I feel a rumble and this has happened before," Roncka said.Roncka said he heard the crash, then got a phone call from his son, a senior in high school. He said the boy in the split car is a classmate of his son's at Elkhorn South High School."It was the last day of school for them," Roncka said.Roncka took the photos of the car."Nobody could believe anyone lived through that scene," Roncka said.Case escaped with only minor injuries. Paramedics treated him at the scene and then his parents took him to the hospital later. Deputies ticketed the other driver for reckless driving. They say he was speeding, and admitted to driving 75 mph. The posted speed limit is 55 mph.
