Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made their first official appearance together, just a few days after the couple announced their engagement and plans to marry next May.The prince and his fiancée are attending two separate engagements in Nottingham to raise awareness of both HIV/AIDS and youth crime, Kensington Palace shared in a statement prior to the visit. The palace added that the prince was looking forward to introducing his future wife to a community that has 'become very special to him'.Meghan wore a navy double-breasted coat, reportedly from Canadian brand Mackage, over a black roll neck and cream skirt for her first royal walkabout.The newly-engaged pair were greeted by hundreds of well-wishers as they made their way to the Terrence Higgins Trust World AIDS Day charity fair at the Nottingham Contemporary art center. There they met with representatives from charities who each support local communities in the city and carry out work to tackle HIV/AIDS.Later in the day, Harry and Meghan will travel to Nottingham Academy where they will meet staff from the Full Effect program that supports children and young people from becoming involved in youth violence and crime through mentorship and training. The children are expected to put on a performance for the couple before they leave the city.The visit to Nottingham comes just three days after the Palace confirmed that Harry and Meghan will marry at St George's Chapel in Windsor in May 2018.Jason Knauf, the prince's spokesperson, said the couple were "leading the planning process for all aspects of the wedding."He added: "This wedding, like all weddings, will be a moment of fun and joy that will reflect the characters of the bride and groom."The exact date for the big day will be announced 'in due course'.
