Pregnant woman uses bike, toddler trailer to save family from California wildfires
A pregnant woman used a bicycle and toddler trailer to save her family from wildfires raging in San Jose. When flames jumped highway 101 and spread into the Santa Rosa neighborhood, Charity Ruiz knew it was time to go. But a traffic jam stopped her, along with her husband, two daughters and unborn baby. Ruiz returned to her home and grabbed her bike, equipped with a toddler trailer, and rode through the fires with her two girls in the back.
