'We showed what we can do': DJ Turner II speaks with 바카라게임 after primetime win over Giants
The New York Giants had little issue driving the ball against Cincinnati's defense in the second half on Sunday, but they could not finish their drives.
Of their five second-half drives, three went for at least 10 plays or more. It was that third play, a 10-play, 53-yard drive with the Giants down by only three, where second-year cornerback DJ Turner II made his stamp on the game.
Covering Darius Slayton on a shallow crossing route, Turner tailed the Auburn product perfectly, getting a hand in the passing lane from Daniel Jones at the exact right time to knock a would-be fourth down conversion away, and put the ball back in Joe Burrow's hands.
Five plays later, Chase Brown iced the game with a 30-yard touchdown rush, giving the Bengals their decisive 17-7 lead.
After the game, Turner joined 바카라게임's Charlie Clifford and Olivia Ray on the field from MetLife Stadium to talk about the win, as well as Turner's enhanced role in the absence of Dax Hill, who is out for the remainder of the year with an ACL injury.
"We got to keep going, no matter. Be prepared, stay ready," Turner said of how he prepared to take over the job. "That's basically my mindset I had throughout camp and throughout the season so far."
Following last weeks loss to Baltimore, the Bengals had a players-only meeting. Turner says it was about refocusing and reminding one another what they're capable of.
"We came out here and showed what we can do, on Sunday night. It's best to have player-driven teams, and that's exactly what we wanted to do. We came in and showed what we can do."
What they did was hold the Giants to 309 total yards, the fewest by the defense since Week 2 at Kansas City, and seven points.
