Bengals Dax Hill out for the year with ACL injury, Taylor confirms
Dax Hill's 2024 campaign is over after suffering an injury in Sunday's loss to Baltimore.
Bengals Head Coach Zac Taylor confirmed Hill tore his ACL and is out for the rest of the year.
"Heartbroken for him," Taylor said. "I know he'll bounce back from it."
Hill left Sunday's game in the first quarter with a knee injury. He was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game.
Drafted in the first round by the Bengals in the 2022 draft, Hill is the best-ranked member of Cincinnati's secondary according to Pro Football Focus. His 68.2 rating is the 36th best in the NFL.
He's the fourth-leading tackler for the Bengals through five games this year, logging 25 (20 solo). He's also responsible for two defended passes, tied for second-best alongside Germaine Pratt and DJ Turner.
Cincinnati's defense has been crushed by injuries all season long, mostly along the defensive line. While they got some reinforcements on Sunday, with Myles Murphy and McKinnley Jackson returning from IR and B.J. Hill playing this week after missing last week, defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins still remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
