A West Price Hill man has been indicted after his 7-month old daughter was shot by another child of his last month.It happened on April 19, when a 5-year-old child found a loaded gun and fired a shot, hitting the infant in the leg. The child was rushed to Cincinnati Children's Hospital for treatment.Investigators said the father of the children, 22-year-old Martez Jones, left the gun within reach of the 5-year-old.Jones, who investigators say was present during the shooting, has been charged with three counts of child endangering."Thankfully the infant was not more seriously harmed," Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich said. "This shows that no gun should ever be within reach of a child, not even for what seems like a brief period. Tragic gun incidents take only seconds to unfold."
