A cloudy forecast was unable to dampen the Easter spirit on Saturday morning.
Washington Park in Over-the-Rhine sprang to life with a very special guest who hopped through the park and left behind some hidden treats. Parents and children alike loved the festive spring celebration.

Even with the threat of rain, Washington Park was filled with the smiles and laughter of children and adults alike. Hundreds of revelers wandered through the urban oasis, celebrating the spirit of spring. Nalia Givens says enjoying the annual Easter Egg Hunt is a big part of her family's holiday.
"Coming together as a community, getting the kids out, and letting them go out on the hunt, and I know there's a petting zoo down here, and she loves to see the animals, so I think that's pretty cool," Givens said. "So rain or shine, we was going to be down here regardless."
Candy and toys were hidden across the massive lawn, sharing the joy of Easter for all who found them.
Nearby, a petting zoo also entertained the young Easter celebrants, including some very special cotton-tailed VIPs.
Savannah Evenson and her three children say they always enjoy coming out to spend time at Washington Park.
"We love being out in the community," Evenson said. "We come to Washington Park almost every day, so it is really fun to be out here with a wide variety of people celebrating."
And while rain clouds threatened a few springtime showers, the season's sprinkles thankfully only led to sunshine at the rainbow's end.
