Warren County waking up to pine tree in roadway, damage to RV park after storms move through
Downed trees and other storm damage are causing more than just power outage problems Monday morning.
In Warren County, damage was seen at Camp Cedar, with campers blown over and fencing heavily damaged. Multiple RVs were flipped and outdoor furniture and equipment were tossed around by the strong winds.
People had to run for cover, doing so at an on-property bathhouse to remain safe as the storm came through.
No one was injured.
Just around the corner, on King Avenue, a pine tree came crashing down, snapping about halfway up.
Thankfully, it landed in the road.
Neighbors came out to check on one another and said the sounds of the tree falling had them very concerned at the time.
"It sounded like a big scary wind, and then the tress had three snaps," neighbor Kristy McKenzie said. "It hit the ground real hard."
