New details about upcoming film released

Last November, news broke that a mysterious "Breaking Bad" movie was in the works from the show's original creator, Vince Gilligan. Though details were scarce, it was reported that the film will follow Jesse Pinkman's "escape from Albuquerque following the bloody events of the series finale." Now, a source tells The Hollywood Reporter "that Netflix will have first-run rights to the top-secret project, which will then air on AMC."The film is written by Gilligan, who is also reportedly directing. At this point, it's unclear if Walter White will appear in the movie (likely via flashbacks, since, spoiler alert, he's dead), but Brian Cranston has said he would absolutely reprise his character if Gilligan asked him."It's a great story and there are a lot of people who felt that they wanted to see some kind of completion to some of these storylines that were left open ," Cranston said on The Dan Patrick Show. Fans theorize there's a possibility that Walt Jr. grows up to follow in dad's footsteps using the money left to him in that trust fund.
