'The vaccine helped me the most': COVID-19 long-hauler says getting vaccine improved symptoms
It's been months of frustration and confusion for 29-year-old Jared Staben.
"It was horrible," Staben said.
Staben had COVID-19 in November.
In January, sister station KETV interviewed him about his long-hauler symptoms.
"Instead of brain fog it's just like a waking delirium because one minute I바카라 게임 웹사이트ll be fine and the next minute I start to zone out and it feels like I바카라 게임 웹사이트m in a haze,바카라 게임 웹사이트 Staben said in January.
The artist and writer lost his ability to focus.
Staben said he spent months searching for answers with no luck, until Thursday.
바카라 게임 웹사이트It took a very long time, a lot of doctor visits, and I think the vaccine is the one that has helped me the most,바카라 게임 웹사이트 Staben said.
He said days after getting the vaccine, the brain fog started to wear off.
"A lot sharper, a lot more alert I guess I would say,바카라 게임 웹사이트 Staben said. "Friday is when I noticed I started to feel a little better and Saturday I was like, 'Oh, I바카라 게임 웹사이트m feeling a little more like I used to.'"
Nebraska Medicine Dr. Mark Rupp said there is evidence the vaccine helps long haulers.
"If they get vaccinated, there are at least some anecdotal reports that they're seeing a diminution in those symptoms. So, again, another good reason to get vaccinated," Rupp said.
Staben said he's proof. He was finally able to sit down and write part of his second book Sunday.
바카라 게임 웹사이트It meant a ton to me and I was a little emotional,바카라 게임 웹사이트 Staben said.
He said he's excited for his second shot and to get back to his old self.
"It바카라 게임 웹사이트s been a huge weight just tossed off my shoulders."
