Teen charged in shooting near UC campus removed from court due to pain from injuries
A 15-year-old charged in the fatal shooting near the University of Cincinnati's campus had to be taken out of court Friday because his attorneys said he was in too much pain from injuries sustained in the shooting.
It happened just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 2900 block of Short Vine Street. Police say they responded to the area for a report of a shooting.
Arriving officers located a victim, 25-year-old Kyle Mirick, and transported him to UC Medical Center, where he later died.
Mirick's family told 바카라게임 that he was shot while leaving a liquor store.
Around 7:30 a.m. Sunday, police announced they had arrested a 15-year-old in connection to the shooting.
The teen is facing four charges: aggravated murder (felony), aggravated robbery, carrying a concealed weapon and murder.
In court, the teen's attorney said the teen had been shot at least seven times. The teen eventually had to be taken out of the courtroom and the proceeding went on without him. The judge denied the teen being sent back to the hospital and said the medical staff at the juvenile detention center would monitor his condition, and if they felt he needed to be sent back, they can send him back.
Prosecutors now plan to try to get the case bound over to adult court.
