Study: Traces of weed killer chemical found in popular beer, wine brands
Traces of the main ingredient found in weed killer Roundup can be found in beer and wine, according to a new study.
Public interest advocacy group U.S. PIRG said trace amounts of glyphosate were found in 19 of 20 beer and wine brands tested. The weed killer ingredient is made by Monsanto, whose parent company is Bayer.

Tsingtao, Coors and Miller Lite all showed levels above 25 ppb, with Tsingtao at 49 ppb.
The study did not detect any levels of glyphosate in Peak Beer.
Several types of organic brands contained the ingredient, according to the study.
"If we're finding this level of glyphosate in wine and beer, even when we know the makers aren't using glyphosate, that to me indicates ," U.S. PIRG's toxics program director Kara Cook-Schultz told CBS 온라인 바카라 게임.
Monsanto and Bayer officials dispute the report and also think glyphosate does not lead to cancer.
"The reality is that regulatory authorities have strict rules when it comes to pesticide residues," a Bayer spokesperson told CBS 온라인 바카라 게임. "The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency sets daily exposure limits at least 100 times below levels shown to have no negative effect in safety studies."
