The second grandmother accused of helping cover up the massacre of a family in Pike County is out of jail.Rita Newcomb, 65, faces felony charges of obstructing justice, perjury and forgery.Police said she misled investigators as they tried to make an arrest in the killings of eight members of the Rhoden family in April 2016. She is the mother of Angela Wagner, one of four family members charged with murder in the case.Her grandson, Jake Wagner, had a daughter with one of the victims. Their custody battle over the child has taken center stage in the investigation.Newcomb is accused of lying to a grand jury and forging custody documents.She posted $50,000 bond and is under house arrest with electronic monitoring.The other grandmother charged, Fredericka Wagner, is also out of jail.
