Reds manager Terry Francona started Opening Day in a dentist's chair
It's officially Tito time here in Cincinnati.
The Reds' new manager, Hall of Famer Terry Francona is preparing for his first day with the Cincinnati Reds.
But the start of his day didn't go as planned.
The day began at about 2 a.m. for Francona when he realized he chipped a tooth.
So the new manager started his day in the dentist's chair in order to get that fixed in time for Opening Day.
He told 바카라게임's Olivia Ray, "I don't want to be looking like Jethro Bodine from the Beverly
Hillbillies out there today."
Speaking with players, they say Francona has been intentional about playing the game the right way, telling them, "do not cost your team outs, do not cost your team runs."
The Reds and Giants will square off at 4:10 p.m. ET.
Francona takes over a Reds team that is looking to bounce back from a 77-85 season last year.
In addition to Francona, several new faces have joined the Reds this offseason, including starting pitcher Brady Singer, infielder Gavin Lux, catcher Jose Trevino and outfielder Austin Hays.
As was the case last season, all eyes are on shortstop Elly De La Cruz and starting pitcher Hunter Greene, who made their first All-Star Game appearances last season.
