Cincinnati and the baseball world are continuing to remember Reds legend Pete Rose, who died earlier this week at the age of 83.Rose, a Cincinnati native, played 19 seasons with the Reds and collected an MLB-record 4,256 hits in his career.Throughout the last several days, fans have paid tribute to Rose outside Great American Ball Park, dropping off flowers, signed baseballs and many other items to pay their respects to Rose following his death.Many fans certainly have fond memories of Rose in a Reds uniform and even after his playing career.Rose's career is certainly Hall-of-Fame worthy, though the Reds legend was banned from induction after being placed on baseball's "permanently ineligible" list over allegations that he gambled on games while playing and managing for the Reds.Despite that, Major League Baseball honored Rose when the league's All-Star Game came to Cincinnati in 2015.During pregame festivities before the game, MLB honored each team's "Franchise Four" or the four most impactful players in an organization's history.When it came time to announce the Reds' selections, Rose walked out on to the field alongside former teammates Johnny Bench and Joe Morgan, as well as Hall of Fame shortstop Barry Larkin.Rose received a long standing ovation for the Cincinnati faithful, welcoming the "Hit King" back on to the diamond during baseball's premier event of the summer.
