"Orange Is the New Black" has had its prison sentence commuted by Netflix.
The cast of the groundbreaking and Primetime Emmy Award-winning comedy-drama announced on Twitter Wednesday, Oct. 17, that will be the last.
"I'm going to miss playing and living on the edge of one of the most groundbreaking and original and controversial series of this decade," Kate Mulgrew says in the video.
There's also a brief hint at what's to come from Uzo Aduba who promises: "Season seven, you will not be disappointed. It is a season you will not forget.
"And we're going to give you everything and more that you could have ever wanted."
The Emmy winner adds, "I'm so grateful for the fun times, the knowledge, the friendships, the love, the family that we have created together."
The most recent sixth season ended with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger involving Taylor Schilling's Piper Kerman that Alex Vause actress Laura Prepon said in August .
"The endgame is there," she told THR. "As of now, season seven is our last season. So, the endgame is clear."
