LEGOs might be low-tech, but the idea for the toy bricks' newest set reaches for the stars. The Danish toy company announced the fan-designed "Women of NASA," featuring female scientists who played a major role with the U.S. space agency. The idea came from science writer Maia Weinstock, who wanted to celebrate women in STEM professions, according to the LEGO Ideas blog. The design came out of a field of 12 projects. The set will release late this year or early in 2018.
