A man is in jail and charged with attempted murder in Covington. Police say this stems from an incident that happened earlier this month around midnight on a residential street.
According to Covington police, on April 4, shots rang out at a home on Garner Drive around 12:30 a.m.
A spokesperson with the Covington Police Department says the male victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
On Tuesday, 45-year-old Nathan Valerius was booked into the Kenton County Detention Center in connection with the shooting, according to Covington police.
Valerius is facing multiple charges including attempted murder, burglary, assault, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Valerius is scheduled to be in court on April 16 at 8:30 a.m. His bond is $500,000.
