Greater Cincinnati family holds solemn Mother's Day after abrupt death of beloved Finneytown soccer coach
A Greater Cincinnati family is finding a way to honor a beloved mom of two this Mother's Day.
Bill Bennett says he lost his wife, Janice, on Nov. 11, 2021.
He said she was walking in the parking lot of the Colerain Kroger when she was hit by a car, killing her.
"We weren't ready for this, and her passing was abrupt and immediate," Bennett said.
This Mother's Day, he sat down with 바카라게임 to talk about how they're carrying on her legacy.
He says Janice was a beloved mother of two and a soccer coach in Finneytown.
"She was involved with the soccer community for over 20 years," Bennett said.
Bennett said her passion for coaching kids inspired them to start the Janice Bennett Memorial Fund.
She coached for multiple local schools, including her alma mater, Finneytown High School.
"She was able to coach her two daughters there at Finneytown High," he said. "She had met so many kids through select soccer and also at the other high schools that she was coaching."
Bennett said they partnered with local nonprofit Cincinnati West Soccer Club to make this a reality.
"It goes to help kids with families that have financial hardships. So if they're unable to pay for their fees or equipment now, they can be taken care of because of the legacy that Jan left," Bennett said.
