Larry Henderson is being remembered as selfless, kind, and compassionate.
"Larry was a great man and very unbelievable guy," Jason Buken said.
Henderson protected the community in multiple ways. He served 33 years with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. He was also a member of specialized units, including the Dive Team, SWAT, FBI Task Force Officer and the HCSO Bomb Unit.
For nearly 20 years, Henderson also worked on a security detail for the University of Cincinnati's football program. Buken traveled with the UC football team and remembers his time with Henderson.
"Larry would give you the shirt off his back," Buken said. "I saw him at basketball games. The last basketball game of the year I saw him there and he would be on the concourse and I would talk to him all the time."
Henderson also impacted the staff at Mercy Anderson where he worked security part time in the emergency department for 20 years.
"He could have worked a 12-hour shift on the road, he came in here, ready to go, smiling, talking to everybody," Keith Lewis, security manager at Anderson Hospital, said.
Hearts are heavy around Anderson Township. A spokesperson told 바카라게임 Henderson spent a lot of his time with the sheriff's office protecting residents and businesses.
His loss is felt across Cincinnati.
"Larry had a huge heart. He did one heck of a job protecting the community," Buken said.
A public visitation will be held for Henderson on Thursday, May 8, from 4-8 p.m. at Spring Grove Cemetery.
Another public visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, at the Cintas Center from 9-11 a.m. A public service from 11-12:30 will be held Friday at the Cintas Center after the visitation.
Following the service, there will be a procession to the Spring Grove Cemetery Rose Garden.
