Lady Gaga's Golden Globes gown pays tribute to Judy Garland in 'A Star Is Born'

Dress for the job award you want. That's just what Lady Gaga did Sunday night when she stepped onto the Golden Globes red carpet in a voluminous Valentino gown with a train that stretched several feet.
Though Lady Gaga didn't take home a Best Actress Golden Globe for her role in "A Star Is Born," her outfit is certainly being praised.
Gaga is actually the fourth woman to lead a version of "A Star Is Born," and her dress pays homage to Judy Garland, who played the main role in the second version in 1954.
Garland's dress was designed by Jean Louis.
And whether it's intentional or not, Gaga's dress subtly nods at the color, full skirt and belled sleeves of Garland's dress.
Gaga, whose posing game on the red carpet is second to none, also tips her hat to Garland in her poses.
