Twelve years after he shouted her name at the top of his lungs in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Kelly Clarkson and Steve Carell met face-to-face for the first time at the 2018 Golden Globes Sunday night.Clarkson, who was there to present the award for Best Original Song with Keith Urban, was spotted chatting with Carrell, a nominee for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for his role in Battle of the Sexes, before a commercial break. "One of my favorite moments of my life!" Clarkson tweeted Monday. The encounter was a long overdue since the film first premiered in August 2005. In the hilarious scene, Carell's character is getting his chest waxed when he shouts, "Ahhh! Kelly Clarkson!" The moment immediately became a pop culture sensation.In November, Clarkson shared in an interview with Willie Geist that she had yet to meet Carell in person. "I want to be like, 'So, was it a compliment?' Like, I dunno, like, you're in pain and you think of Kelly Clarkson," she said at the time. "I do feel , though, because I've never met him. It was kind of a pop culture moment."Well, now everything has come full circle. And since the meet-up was one of the many highlights of her night (she got to totally fangirl over Meryl Streep, too), we'd say Clarkson came out as one of the biggest winners at the Golden Globes.
