Keeneland reschedules first 2 days of Spring Meet due to chance for storms, flooding
Keeneland has rescheduled the first two days of the 2025 Spring Meet due to inclement weather and the chance for flooding this weekend.
In an , Keeneland said the first two days of the meet that were originally scheduled for April 4-5 will now run on April 7-8.
The decision pushes the first two days of the meet to a Monday and Tuesday, which are typically non-racing days.
Previously purchased general admission tickets for Saturday and Sunday will now be valid for single entry on any race day during the Spring Meet, including dates that are sold out. Purchases for reserved seating, dining reservations and parking will be refunded.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear has declared a state of emergency ahead of a four-day weather event set to hit the Commonwealth.
Beshear has activated the Kentucky Emergency Operations Center and units of the Kentucky National Guard to stand ready to respond.
The Greater Cincinnati region is expected to receive 3-6 inches of rainfall from Wednesday through early Sunday, with similar totals expected for much of Kentucky.
