Many people feel like they're missing a limb if they are away from their phones for too long; we're living in the digital age, after all. However, people's addiction to their cell phones have prompted health officials to issue a warning about the dangers of not properly detoxing from them at night.
released new information about the risk of radiation from mobile phones and how we can reduce it.
Dr. Karen Smith of the Californian Department of Public Health advised: "When you sleep, keep the cellphone at least arm's length away from your body. [Also, don't carry] your cellphone in your pocket, [have] it either in your purse or [don't carry] it with you."
Some studies in the past have linked the over usage of mobile phones with the risk of brain tumors, low sperm count, headaches, and impaired memory, hearing and sleep. California officials have also expressed concerns that "long-term high use may impact human health."
So maybe 2018 is the year for the digital detox. Less Instagram scrolling and more countryside strolling?
