Miriam Zakharova, 20, is a college student and fashion blogger living in Murcia, Spain. But her grandmother grew up in Spain during the hungry days after the Civil War. Like many other little girls, her grandmother's family was so poor they couldn't even afford a doll for her to play with."Many children who lived through those years had their childhoods taken away from them," she told BuzzFeed.So Miriam recently decided to get her grandma the doll she never had as a child, and filmed her reaction, which did not disappoint. The young woman posted the video on social media, where it was shared over 12,000 times. "We had no idea that she would be so excited about it," Miriam said. "Obviously, we knew it was a special present, but we didn't know what her reaction would be. In the end, it was incredibly emotional."
