Every family has their quirks, especially when it comes to the holidays. From the wacky to the sentimental, celebrating wouldn't be complete without these traditions.

Daring Decorating

"We started a tradition a few years ago of putting lights on our ceiling. It has evolved over time and this year's effort is the biggest one yet. We started doing this to cut down on the clutter that holiday decorations create. I haven't heard of anyone else doing this. We enjoy our ceiling lights very much!"

Annual Family Toe Sock Picture

"Every year on Christmas morning my sister, her husband and children meet my family at our parents' house to exchange gifts and have breakfast together. Our tradition is to come in our pajamas and toe socks ... and we always get our annual picture. My mom has a lung disease and is on oxygen ... so we all pose around her foot for our picture. Precious Memories and traditions."

A Little House Christmas

"Our family tradition is to buy our tree on Christmas Eve and then decorate it. [Last] year, a surprise snow storm with over 7 inches of snow hit the Omaha, Nebraska area. My husband and I tried to get out to get the tree, but we turned back because the roads were so bad. So, my husband bundled up and walked to the local hardware to buy a $16 tree. It is truly a Little House on the Prairie Christmas!"

Holiday giving

"Most people nowadays shop online with all the hopes every package will be delivered in time for Christmas. Our UPS, Postal and FedEx workers are slaving away extreme hours to make sure this happens. While pushing thru this month with little time at home with their own families, limited sleep and skipped meals to get it all done. Hoping this little gesture of appreciation will catch on. After all, who doesn바카라 게임 웹사이트t love a little snack!"

Decorating fun

"Bill and I love to decorate our home in Derry, NH every year. Even though we are both in our 60s we do it because kids love to see it. We usually buy new decorations every year to add to our collection. We wont put up the large arch across the driveway until right before Christmas, or we would have to blow it up every morning at the crack of dawn so my husband can get out of the garage to go to work."
