Text-based communication is getting more complex.A recent addition of emojis includes breastfeeding and headscarf-wearing women and gender-neutral images.The latest set of emojis is becoming available thanks to a software and data standards nonprofit group. The Unicode Consortium oversaw the 56 additions, but Android and iOS developers can decide how each one looks on their platforms.In 2010, the Unicode update had 974 additions, which included emojis of same-sex couples. While a church emoji for Unicode was approved in 2009, several other religious symbols were added in 2015, ranging from a mosque to a synagogue.
