Elon Musk has taken over Twitter. Where will things go from here?
like this. Um And what was, you just can't help with it? That's okay, you have to grant that he's *** visionary, that he's done some amazingly innovative things in the world. And so someone like him would look at *** company like twitter and say that we've got to tear it down to build it back up again and that seems to be the purpose of mentality, that's what we're here. Um But having said that it's *** little worrying in the sense that when you tear it down to build it back up again, you have to have some sort of *** north star or vision to take people along with it, say this is the reason why I'm doing that and we haven't quite seen the other than some hand waving at free speech, there is *** chance that that one of the first things he'd like to do is bring back everybody that was banned or bring back everybody that was controversial. Certainly that's part of his m o whether that's part of policy or not remains to be seen. Everything related to the last six months has been, you know, pretty pretty sad for anyone who spent any real amount of time invested in believing that twitter could be *** positive project for the world. He said again and again, that guardrails are really not for him when it comes to content moderation and I think we have the endless proof that without guardrails on *** platform, like like twitter or really anywhere on social media, you end up with hate misogyny, conspiracy theories. Um And that's not positive for anyone that's not that's not twitter for good. I believe that Elon musk buying twitter and only twitter will be the end of twitter. Most of the people I know who are on there are just waiting, they're gonna wait to see um What happens if people exit it'll be on mass, it will not be *** small trickle. So it's up to him really but everything he's shown his personality on twitter is if he acts like that as the owner of twitter then it's then it's gonna be the downfall, the changes he's talking about making to be honest. They sound it all sounds *** bit like *** red herring, it's kind of like conspiracy talk. He's like removing the bots. But I don't feel that I experienced them. I've seen obviously people commenting whether they're gonna continue using it or not but I haven't really thought about it to be honest. I suppose I'll yeah I'll see what pans
