A Vietnamese restaurant is offering its patrons the chance to be recognized as royalty by completing the challenge of eating a giant bowl of its signature soup in less than an hour.
The Pho King Challenge was created eight years ago by , in Sacramento, California. Challengers must finish 2 pounds of noodles and 2 pounds of meat in less than an hour. Finishing the broth is not required, but challengers are also not allowed to stand up or take a bathroom break for the entire hour.
Pho Bac Hoa Viet has been in business for 20 years, and its pho has been voted best in Sacramento four years in a row.
