A donkey is back on dry land thanks to the hard work of first responders. The donkey fell into an icy pond in Pennsylvania on Friday night, according to Cranberry Township volunteer firefighters.Firefighters called in a large animal rescue team and water rescue team from Beaver County to help pull the donkey from the water and get it safely back on land. Once there, firefighters said they moved it to a garage to help warm it up from the cold and receive care from Beaver County EMS as well as UPMC veterinarians.The entire effort took about one-and-a-half hours. Firefighters said the rescue was successful, and the donkey is doing well.
