$138 million lottery ticket sold in Ohio goes unclaimed
The deadline has passed for a winner to claim their $138 million Powerball jackpot in Ohio.The winning ticket was sold in Huber Heights back in July.The winner had 180 days to claim their prize, but that deadline passed on Dec. 30.Walmart Supercenter on Brandt Pike sold the auto-pick ticket.According to the Ohio Lottery, had the winner come forward, they would have had the option to take the annuity prize payable over 30 years or the cash option prize of $65.8 million.Ohio Lottery officials say sales generated in Ohio that contributed to the jackpot will go to the unclaimed prize fund which becomes part of lottery profit to help support education in Ohio. Ohio will retain around $1.9 million.
