A 3-time state champion and 2-time Ohio Ms. Basketball award winner, Alexander is listed as the No. 6 overall prospect in the 2025 class, according to ESPN.
Last month, Alexander led Purcell Marian to its third consecutive state championship and their second consecutive title in Division II.
By committing to the Bearcats, Alexander has become the first Top 100 prospect to commit to UC since the 2011 recruiting class, when Alyesha Lovett signed with UC.
Dating back to 2008 - the earliest espnW has data of top 100 recruits - the Bearcats have only had two top recruits commit to the program: Lovett (2011) and Kayla Cook (2010).
Earlier this week, Alexander cut her final three choices to Cincinnati, Ohio State and Illinois.
A junior, Alexander has been pursued by many of the premier college basketball programs in the country during her storied high school career, which has included visits to Cincinnati from well-known college coaches.
The Bearcats went 14-18 during their first season in the Big 12 conference in 2023-24, their most wins in a season since 2019-20.
Last season marked the first at the helm for head coach Katrina Merriweather, a former Bearcat who played at UC from 1997-2001 under UC Hall of Fame coach Laurie Pirtle.
Prior to joining UC, Merriweather had successful stints at Wright State and Memphis, going a combined 151-70 at those two stops.
