When most couples think about their first wedding anniversary, they probably think about all the romantic ways they could celebrate — fancy dinner, lit candles, maybe even some gifts. Vincent Alexander had a different plan for how to commemorate this special day with his wife, and it included... a clown??
He approached his photographer, Megan Bowling of , in secret on the day of his engagement shoot. He wanted his brother to dress up as a clown and stand with a knife in the background of one of his wedding pictures. The crew pulled it off, and the resulting picture is a perfect combination of hilarious and absolutely terrifying.
His wife Manda had no idea it was happening during the shoot, and he kept it a secret for the entire first year of their marriage. "After a year of keeping a secret, she finally opened her anniversary gift. I am shocked she never found out," he . "The pressure is finally off. Happy anniversary sweetheart, I love you to death."
He even shared a video of her opening her gift, and her reaction is priceless.
When Bowling shared the photo on her own Facebook page, Manda commented that she was totally surprised, and she loves the photo even though she hates clowns. "Clown or no clown I thought it was the sweetest," Bowling responded. "I love how passionate Vince was about the whole thing. It really shows how much he knows and loves you. He made it happen I just snapped the photo and tried not to laugh 😂 ."
In case you were wondering, the rest of their wedding photos are totally normal and sans clown.
Cheers to the happy couple!
