Arson investigation underway after Clinton County fire
The Ohio State Fire Marshal (SFM) is investigating a fire that broke out Tuesday in Clinton County as an arson.
In a press release, the SFM announced that it was seeking the public's help for information in the case.
On Tuesday, crews from the Blanchester-Marion Township Fire Department, along with other units, responded to a fire in the 900 block of South Broadway Street in Blanchester.
Crews arrived at Buckeye State Self Storage to find an active blaze at the facility. While they were able to extinguish it, one firefighter was hospitalized for burns.
The SFM says its Fire & Explosions Investigations Bureau has determined that the fire was intentionally set. The Blue Ribbon Arson Committee is offering up to $5,000 as a reward for anyone whose information leads to the arrest and conviction of the people responsible.
