One of the Cincinnati Zoo's newest members of its zoo family is quickly becoming the most popular.Daisy the bonobo was born in September to mom Gilda.The zoo said bonobo babies typically stay with their mothers for about 4 to 5 years, though their bond remains strong well beyond that.The Zoo also recently welcomed a mother and son bonobo duo from the Memphis Zoo.Given all the excitement recently, it's no wonder that all the bonobos have increased their social grooming. This behavior allows the creatures to enjoy close time together, reinforcing social bonds.Visitors should stay tuned for updates from the Zoo.
