Chip Gaines is taking over one of the silos at Magnolia Market.
Chip and Joanna Gaines' is currently lots of Joanna, and very little Chip. But the Waco market is about to change, big time, with the addition of a whole new store dedicated to the Fixer Upper patriarch and his line of work.
According to the , Chip will get one of the two old silos at the market all to himself. His team will be remodeling the 3,800-square-foot silo, which is tall enough for multiple stories, but they're not quite sure when it will be completed yet.
Previously, all Chip had was , which sold work shirts, hats and tools. It's clear that his new shop will feature way more than that. And the entire market is focused on tourists who want to send items home or locals who want to send gifts to friends; they have opened up a FedEx Office kiosk so people can ship their purchases wherever they want. And that's important, because around 60 to 70 percent of items on sale at the market can't be purchased online.
