Sunshine appeared alongside George Lopez, Owen Wilson, and Emma Stone in the 20th Century Fox film Marmaduke, and she began starring as Tinka Hessenheffer in the Disney Channel Original Series Shake It Up, which ran through 2013.

She recorded a music video for "Roam," a song from the Disney film "Treasure Buddies," in 2012.
