A 38-year-old Butler County woman tied herself up, gagged herself and took incriminating photos of herself in September to make it look like she had been kidnapped, authorities allege.
On Wednesday, Thelma Williams was indicted on a charge of making false alarms.
Williams had said a masked man entered her home, tied her up and cut off her clothes.
She also said he used her phone to videotape the episode and later posted the videos to her Facebook account, officials said.
Police initiated a full response — including a helicopter search and closing down a highway — which cost thousands of dollars, Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones said.
As investigators looked at the story closer, they found things that didn바카라 게임 웹사이트t add up.
It eventually was revealed she had done those things herself and posted to social media from a McDonald바카라 게임 웹사이트s restaurant near her home, officials said.
As for a motive, a prosecutor at her arraignment said she told police she made everything up to scare her daughters into moving to Florida.
She said she wanted to get away from them.
