After the storm forced her to cancel her big day, she made sure the feast didn't go to waste

After Hurricane Irma destroyed Jessica Jean Williamson's wedding venue in the Florida Keys earlier this month, she decided to take the food that she prepared for her reception to the people in the Keys who were most affected by the storm.Williamson was supposed to marry her boyfriend of eight years, Alex Arteaga, at a beachside home in the Florida Keys on September 9, just one day before Hurricane Irma made landfall there, ABC 온라인 바카라 게임 reports. The couple decided to cancel their wedding and wait out the storm in their West Palm Beach home. But instead of getting upset over her ruined wedding, the bride-to-be decided to take all the food that was meant for the taco bar at her wedding down to those whose homes and lives were most affected by Irma in Big Pine Key, Florida. "When I decided I wanted a taco bar for my wedding reception, I never in a million years imagined I'd be bringing that exact taco bar to the keys... for complete strangers," Williamson wrote in a Facebook post. "It felt good bringing people who have been eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for over a week some REAL food," Williamson wrote. "To see the look on their faces as they lined up for literally anything and got authentic street tacos... this was so worth it I'd do it all over again. It wasn't a wedding reception but we laughed and ate and danced with other humans who needed to be happy."While Williamson and Arteaga plan on rescheduling their wedding for a later date, she said that it "feels weird" to think about it."It feels selfish," she told ABC 온라인 바카라 게임. "I want to do it, but the Keys is so close to my heart that I think we'd rather wait and help rebuild, and still try to do it here than just move it somewhere else.""We've been together eight years," she said. "What's another couple of months?"
