A Marvel fan died after suffering a suspected heart attack while watching "" in the cinema.
The man in question, Peddapasupula Baasha, 43, had been watching the movie in the Indian city of Proddatur, in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Baasha had gone to see the Marvel blockbuster as part of May Day celebrations, according to police, (), and was found by staff after they assumed he had stayed in the cinema to watch the post-credits scene.
It quickly became clear, however, that he had died. Police believe he died from cardiac arrest or natural causes. An autopsy will be performed and the case is still ongoing.
"Infinity War" was released last week, and has broke over its opening weekend.
It had the highest-grossing opening weekend ever in the U.S., beating previous record-holder "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," as well as breaking the record for opening night ticket sales for a Marvel film.
At the time of this writing, the movie has taken in over $282 million in the U.S. and over $725 million globally at the box office.
