Americans are more charitable than you think
Americans love to give, according to a survey from Bankrate.com, which found that 96 percent of people in the U.S. say they've made or plan to donate money to a charity by the end of the year. The study also found that one of five people who regularly donate will give more this year than they did in 2016. It's not just money - about 25 percent of the U.S. population donates its time. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, around 62.6 million people volunteered at least one time from September 2014 to September 2015.
